As much as we would all like to believe that the twenty first century in itself summons certain perceiving of basic human rights amongst it's diverse entrants, we often distinctly, stand corrected.

 The contemporary lifestyle of all global citizens prevails to question the understanding of certain aspects that have previously established as norms on our dear planet and although the realization hand has struck on a universal level, it has not quite reverberated on the cultural lands of India and amongst its million daughters who stand as loyal victims on the threshold of their 'family honor'. No, not their honor -as it would be interpreted by those who consider them as human with self dignity but in fact it is their 'family honor' that is at stake.

 Why, you ask? It is their tenderness, fragility and soft tongue that often gets in the way, isn't it? No, it isn't. Not you, not me or anyone else on this forlorn planet has the right to judge a women by that nature. The same way, there is no reason to misinterpret the inhumane strength, willingness, power in a man and expect them to be muscly, less sentimental or soft hearted. 

Axing the hierarchy of one gender over the other, is just one convenient step away.
Emulate your steps in fighting for a little change in a shop, a little seat on a train, a little ticket on a bus, a little food from your friend, a little understanding from your parent and soon, we can be part of a world, where fighting for gender equality is history.


The food, it seems, becomes an extension of this happy nuclear family, the way it should be according to the heteronormative social mandate; with the woman writer only achieving fame and/ or wealth through her pursuits because they are at the service of the family (and not because she is deserving of the accolades in her own right; it’s the combination of cooking/ photography skills and traditional motherhood that makes this business model successful).

    I think this page is truly motivating. Men and women should both be given equal rights. We live in a modern society and gender discriminating should be discouraged. As society is getting modern day by day we should also become more open minded and accepting. We should be proud of ourselves. We should not change based on somebody else's opinion. Women have the right to be condident and independent. This page is beautiful and inspiring.

Welcome to my blog about Feminism! In truth, I am a fifteen-year-old girl from the city of dreams, Mumbai or as those true of heart would prefer to call it still -Bombay, trying to make the world a better place from inception and the fact that it needs amelioration, a fact, which I hope everyone empathizes. I come from a progressive lifestyle and an open-minded school atmosphere, which prevails a prestigious understanding of events conducted globally and the want for refinement in subjects that need proliferating mindsets. And as a pioneer amongst several pioneers, by this school assignment, that is all I wish to do. I love reading and in fact I cannot think of a single day in the past five years that I’ve spent without a book due to my flooding bookshelves and easily accessible online bookstores. And I also do that one thing everyone secretly loves but only some are considered to be sensations -I write. Due to the heart-warming reactions I get for it, I have also taken up the homicidal task of finishing a novel for my grade 10 Personal Project. Although I am a socially awkward retard, I tend to feel at home once I’ve known you long enough and have been proved to be an embarrassment in public places. I am also in touch with my artistic side and have voluntarily devoted my next few good years to numerous fandoms and food -you know, just like your average fangirling, tumblr person.

Substantially, a fifteen-year-old teenager upholding viability in an abiding country on a liberal planet can be fighting for privacy in the course of her/his life for the better half of their time one might thing. But with affirmative assurance, i can guarantee you that the former is not the case and in fact ironically, giving the substance paradox is an over whelming reality and in any case, this blog might be giving that verisimilitude.

I hope my blog is in your likeness and that i have successfully managed to intrigue you by the ideas i am trying to impose off it.

We are a growing population and it is in our hands to make the world a better, much secure and habitable place. So it shouldn't matter what age, race, gender, sexual orientation or class we fit in.
